LORD RICHARD ATTENBOROUGH 1923-2014
DINOSOC is saddened to hear of the passing of Lord Richard Attenborough at the age of 91. He was a great man and a giant of British cinema, both in-front and behind the camera. Not just a brilliant actor, but a superb director - able to really convey the emotions of the actors to the audience. He was also a doting patron of the arts and charitable causes.
I think for many of us at DINOSOC, he will perhaps be most remembered for his role as John Hammond in Jurassic Park, he captured the imagination of children - inspiring them to think of dinosaurs and palaeontology; we know this, because many of us were those children.
He was a man of great talent and great heart. He rests now, but his spirit lives on in his legacy & our hearts.
Rest In Peace.
