DINOSOC Fossil Identification Service
Ever been fossil hunting and found something you had no idea about?
DINOSOC is here to help. In association with the Bristol Museum & Art Gallery, we are offering a brand-new service to identify your fossils. So, if you don't have a team of aspiring and/or trained palaeontologists around, DINOSOC is at your service!
To use this service, simply upload a picture (or two) of the mysterious fossil(s) to our twitter page or send them in an email. Remember to include information about where you found you fossils when you upload/send the pictures.
Our dedicated family of members will use all their knowledge to try to identify your fossils and being a mixture of university undergrads, postgrads and faculty members, at least one of us should be able to tell you what your fossil is. If DINOSOC gets truly stumped, then we will get the expert opinion of the Bristol Museum curators. One way or another - you will find out what it is.
Take a look below to see how it's going & when you're ready click
the Twitter button and post your fossil pictures. Or send them via
email, quoting "Identify Fossil" as the subject.
"What is this fossil?"
